Ahhh....History. One of my preferred cuisines for the mind. Personally, the "bygone days" reaches back into antiquity with a devoted faith in the passage and abundance of transmigratory lifetimes, caring and being responsible for animals. Whether the fauna was wild or domesticated, bird or reptile, fish or elephant, was not an essential matter. It is the creatures of this Earth that cradle my physical nature and Soul together in a symmetry of knowing true joy on this beautiful, cruel planet. As it must for all of us that hold a deep kinship with Nature.

My first cognitive memory of this Life was as an infant, not yet walking, surrounded by a promenade of yellow ducklings. What I now know as "elation" filled my little being and stretched my face in delight.

The onset trigger that flooded the vague recognition of former lives associated with animal husbandry was in the 1950's. My maternal Italian grandmother would gather me up to share in the neighborly visits on her dear friend's farm, in up-state New York. Before running out to play with the animals, I would sit (probably fidgety) at the red and white kitchen table, exhibiting the social manners required by a loving matriarch grandmother. With a wandering eye, there on the counter, near the sink, I caught sight of a large bowl, containing a variety of grains, soaking in water to soften. This, along with bran would be the base for their livestock's dinner. As the sun sat down on the treetops, and with two baskets in hand, this nurturing mother bent over her tended garden to harvest the vegetables and herbs for her family's supper in one basket, and her animal family's, in the other. Letting me assist in the preparation for their creature's culinary sustenance, induced what I now receive as "grounding my energies". The chronicle after this time is framed within the Newspaper Article, so I won't repeat the summarized archive.

At Walter Schimanski's farm. "Raadin Inshallah", Jay Gormley's foundation Stallion, grandfather of both My "Belle" and "Shallah" dame's lineage.

Walter's black stallion "Fabo" - G.G. grandfather on sires lineage.

My stage of growth at Walter Schimanski's Masada Arabians (1982-'86), were the happiest of my employee life. Every human emotion was spent, in that spell of time, on his splendid homestead, with those magnificent Egyptian Arabian horses, and with a troupe of lively companions for our subsistence and entertainment. The era was beautiful and cruel, such as Life.

Progressing on and, several years before having my own farm and horses, I was already prepared for the event, their initial diet had been determined. My base rations are alfalfa (packaged bale), steamed crimped oats and wheat bran. The amount of these 3 mainstay provisions vary in their proportions, at least seasonally. Also selecting 13-15 herbs and roots (laying those first botanical stones of my dietary pharmacopeia), along with flax seed oil, apple cider vinegar, water and a herbal tea I made for Roi's and my own health.

The flora activity of considerable additions and waning of others, experimenting, investigating, and verification lead to the composition of this website and to share my recipes with the animal kingdom.
